Kittery, May 7, 1761. The 4th instant died here, of a
languishing illness Mr. Robert Cutt Whipple, son to the late
Capt. William Whipple of this town, and this afternoon his
remains were decently interr'd.[7 more lines about his

With his dying breath, bearing testimony to the truth and
divine excellence of the religion of Christ, and earnestly
recommending to all, a speedy, sincere and universal regard
thereto.
He mourns the dead, who lives as they desire.
You see the man: you see his hold on heav'n:
The death bed's a detector of the heart.
Here real and apparent are the same.
Heav'n owns her friends, and points them out to man.
